Diaper Pails
Old fashioned diaper pails…who could forget them? A plastic contraption colored pink or blue, if bought after the baby’s birth, a discrete yellow or minty green if before and the baby’s sex unknown. Sometimes there was a smiling stork decal, or perhaps teddy bears; but the most unforgettable thing about the trusty old cloth diaper pail was the…smell. Today, whether the diaper pail is an elegant part of the dekor, or comes under the heading of “baby furniture diaper pails”, the one crucial element is the…smell.
How to keep a neat diaper pail? This question has been around since the first mom looked at a length or cloth and wondered if it would keep baby from dripping. The answer, of course, is that the hardworking care giver empties diaper pails several times a day and washes them out with hot soapy diaper pail solution each time…good guess, but we all have lives to lead.
The best diaper pail? That’s the one that hasn’t been used yet. This would be the perfect time to address diaper pail deodorizers. There can be found little stick-up plastic with a deodorizer inside, but that makes the overall washing of the pail difficult. Wise older women would advise that a generous shake of baking soda in the bottom of the pail is the best deodorizer for diapers. A good idea might be to have a box near the changing table. After each diaper deposit, another shake is fine. There is also the added benefit that the diapers can be dumped into the washer, baking soda and all. The soda will work with the soap to further clean and break down the biological nasties that make for diaper rash.
In comparison, some diaper pail users prefer the kind of pine cleaner that has the further benefit of disinfecting while it deodorizes. Plus, it can put you in mind of forests and other restful nature spots, far away from daycare and diaper pails…
Diaper pail comparison? This is best done by people who do not have a lot to do with them. Ask your kid brother-in-law or your maiden aunt the burning question, “What do you think of this diaper pail?” You are bound to get a truthful answer, but take heart; one day your little cloth diaper wearer with the sensitive bottom will grow up…to have a diaper pail all their own. When they in their turn ask you “What do you think of this diaper pail?”…Be kind.
