Baby Bottles

Whether your baby is given a bottle for augmenting breast milk or uses the bottle exclusively, baby bottles will be a big part of his life. All of these bottles have different features, but only you and your baby can decide which the right one to use is.

The Podee baby bottle is a hands free system for feeding baby. The Podee kit consists, basically, of a piece of flexible tubing that connects the nipple and the bottle. The baby’s suction brings the milk up the tube. The system fits most standard eight ounce bottles.

The Adiri baby bottle is breast shaped and is said to minimize nipple confusion. The bottle in action mimics the act of breastfeeding and reduces baby’s air ingestion.

Gerber makes the bottles known as Nuk Orthodontic. The Nuk air system vents the bottle and prevents air intake. Gerber still makes the classic nipples of 100% silicone, latex nipples with the three hole design, and crosscut nipples.

Of course, we know the best bottle holder is you. Babies who are given the bottle propped up on a pillow are missing out on cuddling and comforting that is essential to his development.

Baby bottle sterilizers still depend upon steam. Whether it is an electronic or top-of-the-stove, the baby bottle steam sterilizers perform the same function: sterilizing baby bottles. The insulated bottle carriers work to keep formula or milk warm, the way baby likes it, but as with the sterilizer, they all work in the same basic way. The same holds true for baby bottle carriers. Insulation for heat or cold may have improved, but it is still a carrier for baby bottles.

Everyone sometime needs a little comfort. Weaning your baby from the bottle can be frustrating for the both of you.

This is not to say it will be easy, but you can show your baby love with something other than a bottle. You can do it.
